The SERVICES
Whether you're looking for an editor who understands the nuance of spiritual narratives or a writer who can bring your vision to life with authenticity, I'm here to help your work bloom.
To follow, you'll find detailed information about how we'll work together, going from my editing and writing process to timelines, pricing, and what you can expect at every stage. My goal is to make sure we're on the same page from the start, so there are no surprises and you feel confident about the journey ahead.
My CLIENT'S
My ideal clients are passionate authors! Writing a book is a massive undertaking and a genuine accomplishment, and that passion for the craft is highly contagious. I especially love working with authors writing spiritual nonfiction, memoir, fiction with deeper themes, and stories from underrepresented voices. But no matter what genre you're working in, if you care deeply about your manuscript, we'll work well together.

EDITING Services
CONTENT EDITING
What does your content editing process look like?
My content editing process focuses on the clarity, flow, and effectiveness of your manuscript at both the structural and sentence levels. I work directly on your manuscript using Adobe Acrobat (for PDFs), Google Docs, or Microsoft Word, providing detailed annotations and suggestions throughout.
I examine how your ideas connect, whether your narrative or argument flows logically, and where additional development or reorganization might strengthen your work. For nonfiction, I evaluate how effectively you're achieving your purpose and reaching your intended audience. For fiction, I look at character development, pacing, scene construction, and thematic cohesion.
Throughout the process, I provide an editorial summary that outlines the key areas for revision and explains the rationale behind major suggestions, giving you a clear roadmap for your next draft.
Do you provide a sample edit or editorial letter before the full project?
Every content editing project includes a comprehensive editorial summary. This summary outlines the main strengths of your manuscript and provides detailed guidance on areas for revision, helping you understand both what's working well and where focused attention will make the biggest impact. The editorial summary serves as your roadmap for revisions and ensures we're aligned on the direction of your manuscript before you dive into rewrites.
What's your turnaround time for different manuscript lengths?
Turnaround times vary based on manuscript length and complexity. As a general guideline, I allocate approximately 30 minutes per page for developmental and content editing. For a standard 60,000-word manuscript (roughly 240 pages), you can expect a timeline of 4-6 weeks. For longer works around 100,000 words (400 pages), the timeline extends to 7-10 weeks.
I'm fully transparent about scheduling throughout our work together and will provide you with a specific timeline once I've reviewed your manuscript. I also keep you informed about my progress along the way, so you're never left wondering where things stand.
Do you offer multiple rounds of content editing?
Yes! Many authors benefit from returning for a second pass after implementing major revisions. The first round of content editing focuses on big-picture structural and developmental issues, while a second round can address how well the revisions work and refine any areas that need additional attention. Second rounds are typically more focused and move more quickly since the foundation has been strengthened.
I offer revision rounds as add-on services, and we can discuss what makes sense for your manuscript and your goals during our initial consultation.
COPY EDITING
What style guides do you follow?
I primarily work with the Chicago Manual of Style, which is the industry standard for book publishing.
Do you track changes in Word or use another system?
I use tracked changes in Microsoft Word or Google Docs so you can see every edit I make and accept or reject changes as you review. This transparency ensures you maintain full control over your manuscript while benefiting from professional editing.
What does copy editing include beyond grammar and punctuation?
Copy editing is about more than just fixing commas and typos. I focus on maintaining consistency in your author style throughout the manuscript, eliminating redundant words and phrases, improving sentence structure for clarity and flow, ensuring factual consistency, and polishing your writing so it reads smoothly and professionally.
The goal is a clean, polished manuscript that preserves your unique voice while meeting professional publishing standards.
PROOFREADING
Is proofreading a standalone service or typically done after copy editing?
I offer proofreading as a standalone service. One of the best practices in publishing is having different editors review your manuscript at each stage. You want fresh eyes to catch what others miss. If you've already had your manuscript copyedited by another professional, I can provide a final proofread to catch any lingering errors before publication.
What's the difference between your copy editing and proofreading services?
Copy editing is a more substantive process that addresses grammar, punctuation, style consistency, sentence structure, clarity, and flow. It involves making changes and suggestions to improve the overall quality of your writing.
Proofreading is the final quality control check after all other editing is complete—it focuses on catching typos, formatting inconsistencies, spacing issues, and any small errors that slipped through earlier rounds. Think of copy editing as refining your manuscript and proofreading as giving it a final polish.
What's your turnaround time for proofreading?
Proofreading typically has a quicker turnaround than substantive editing services. Because it's a more focused review, I can usually complete proofreads in 2-4 weeks for standard-length manuscripts, depending on my current project queue. I give 100% attention to every manuscript I work with, regardless of timeline, so you can trust the work will be thorough.

WRITING Services
NEWSLETTERS, BLOGS, MARKETING COPY, SOCIAL MEDIA, EDUCATIONAL SERVICES & MORE
What writing services do you offer?
I provide professional writing services for newsletters, blog posts, social media content, educational services, and marketing copy. Whether you need one-off pieces or ongoing content support, I work to maintain your unique voice and style, ensuring consistency across everything you publish. I can help execute content aligned with your strategy, or we can collaborate to develop a content plan that aligns with your goals.
What's included in a blog post or newsletter?
Each piece is tailored to your needs, but typically includes researched, well-crafted content in your voice, one round of revisions based on your feedback, and delivery in your preferred format (Word document, Google Doc, or PDF). We'll discuss word count, posting frequency, and any specific requirements during our initial consultation.
What about marketing copy?
I help you draft press releases, media kits, pitch letters, author bios, and other materials to market your book and brand through your voice. Whether it’s helping you create a pitch letter tailored to a podcast relevant to your book or creating an author bio that will highlight what makes your voice unique, I am happy to help.
How do you approach writing in a client's voice?
I believe it's essential to maintain your authentic voice in your writing. Before beginning any writing project, I review your existing content—previous blog posts, newsletters, your manuscript, or other materials—to understand your tone, style, and the way you naturally communicate with your audience. The goal is for readers to feel like they're hearing from you, not a hired writer.

Process & Timeline
PROCESS & TIMELINE
What's your typical onboarding process?
I start with a brief questionnaire to learn about your project, your goals, and any specific concerns or focus areas. This saves us both time, so that when we have our discovery call, we can dive right into discussing your manuscript and how I can best support your work. After our conversation, I'll send you a detailed quote and timeline, and once you're ready to move forward, we'll formalize everything with a simple contract.
How do you handle revisions?
For editing services, my detailed annotations and editorial summary provide guidance for your revisions—you implement the changes on your end. If you'd like me to review your revised manuscript after you've made changes, we can discuss a second-round edit as an additional service.
For writing services (blogs, newsletters, social media), one round of revisions based on your feedback is included in the project price. If you need more extensive rewrites beyond that initial revision, we can discuss additional revision rounds.
What's your communication style during projects?
I'm happy to communicate however works best for you—whether that's email check-ins, scheduled calls to discuss progress, or a combination of both. I believe in keeping authors informed throughout the process, so you'll never be left wondering where things stand. My approach is collaborative and transparent.
